Our Team:
Practitioners of BodyMind Synergy Health Center are joined with professors, experts and instructors who come from China and overseas and currently working at Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They all have high educational backgrounds and hold Doctorate’s and Master’s Degrees in medicine. They have years of clinical experience and specialized in certain fields, such as digestive disorders, neurological disorders, women and children’s health, weight loss, infertility, sports injury and rehabilitation as well as insomnia, eye diseases.
Our team is committed to provide the top level of assessment and treatment; and to bring optimum health both physically and spiritually to you, your family and friends.
Dr. Xia Cheng
Ph.D, MD (China), R.Ac, DTCM
Dr. Xia Cheng received a Ph.D in medicine 1990 at Chengdu University of TCM after 11 years of study in three TCM universities in China. During that period of time, she studied both western and Chinese medicine. Her study and research focus was in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine treating digestive and neurological diseases. While her personal interest is in medicine for children and women, she also sees patients as a Chinese medicine general practitioner. She has practiced as an acupuncturist, herbalist and physician since 1984, and became an associate professor at the Beijing Hospital of TCM in 1994. Dr. Xia Cheng was a visiting professor in Canada at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, B. C. from 1996 to 1998, and in Denmark at the Nordic Centre of Chinese Medicine at Copenhagen in 1999. She established BodyMind Synergy Health Center in 2001 and founded Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004 to fulfill her dream of sharing and passing on her knowledge and expertise, and the treasure of TCM with the general public and new generations of TCM practitioners.
